CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS TO PROCEED
(Washington, D.C., June 18, 2013). Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, and a former government prosecutor in the Justice Department, issued the following statement in the wake of House hearings today over the Obama-NSA scandal.
“The testimony of government officials was not revealing. While claiming many successes in thwarting terrorist attacks, they failed to show that crucial intelligence could not have been obtained by less intrusive measures. We will thus proceed with our two class action lawsuits to stop this unprecedented violation of the constitutional rights of over 300 million Americans. The people will not be fooled by bureaucrats who seek to justify their illegal actions. It was a good dog and pony show, but ‘no cigar,'” stated Klayman.
