Rand Paul: ‘I’m not getting vaccinated’ By Jordan Williams TheHill May 24, 2021 Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Sunday that he will not be getting vaccinated against COVID-19. During an interview with John Catsimatidis on his radio show on WABC 770 AM, Paul, an ophthalmologist, said he’s making the personal decision because he’s already had COVID-19. Rick Santorum Out at CNN After Comments on Native Americans By David McLaughlin Newsmax May 23, 2021 CNN dropped Rick Santorum as a political commentator following an outcry over remarks about Native American culture by the former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania. Alison Rudnick, a spokeswoman for CNN, said Saturday the network had “parted ways” with Santorum, without providing additional details. Santorum, a Republican presidential candidate in 2016, came under fire after a speech in April before the Young America’s Foundation, a conservative organization. DOJ Uses Civil Rights-Era Law To Charge Protesters And Insurrectionists NPR.org May 22, 2021 Racial justice protesters and many who stormed the U.S. Capitol are being charged with civil disorder, under the 1968 Civil Obedience Act. Some argue that the law is unconstitutional. On Aug. 26, Kevin Phomma was arrested during a racial justice demonstration outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in Portland, Ore.
