At Freedom Watch, we don’t just fight for political freedom — we defend freedom in all its forms, including economic liberty and honest competition. The game of golf is now the latest victim of corporate monopoly power and backroom manipulation.
Years ago, I filed a lawsuit against the PGA Tour for its anti-competitive behavior designed to crush the rival LIV Golf League. The PGA Tour, with help from golf elites like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, used the Golf Channel and media allies to smear LIV players — calling them “sellouts,” “cheaters,” and “terrorist sympathizers.”
But LIV survived. It thrived. It went international, gained major sponsors, and began to attract younger fans with its innovative format — music, team play, and simultaneous tee times. Freedom Watch stood on the side of competition, fairness, and the right of players and fans to choose.
Now comes the betrayal. Brooks Koepka, a four-time major winner who joined LIV for $100 million, has reportedly cut a backroom deal to return to the PGA Tour. Officially, he says he’s leaving “to spend more time with family.” In reality, it appears he was bought back — allegedly bribed to cross over, hoping to trigger an exodus of LIV’s top talent.
This kind of manipulation is not just bad for golf — it’s bad for freedom. It’s the same corrupt dynamic that infects Washington, the courts, and Wall Street: the powerful crushing competition to preserve control.
The PGA Tour’s actions are a violation of fair competition and a direct assault on free enterprise. I’ve taken this fight to court — personally, pro se — in Palm Beach, where the case continues despite resistance from politically connected judges and golf elites.
Golf is more than a sport; it’s a metaphor for personal discipline, integrity, and freedom. Studies even show that playing golf adds years to life expectancy, building health and community. But when monopolies dominate, they destroy the very spirit of competition that makes America — and golf — great.
So while the PGA Tour turns players like Brooks Koepka into corporate mouthpieces, Freedom Watch stands firm for truth, integrity, and freedom.
