As we begin this New Year, Chief Justice John Roberts released his annual report — full of the same establishment rhetoric about the “independence of the judiciary,” but completely silent about the massive corruption infecting the courts. He made no mention of the activist rulings, political bias, and abuse of power that have become routine in the federal bench, from district courts all the way to the Supreme Court itself.
Roberts, whose wife profits by placing lawyers before his own court, represents everything wrong with the judicial establishment. His silence in the face of widespread corruption is complicity. The truth is that the federal judiciary has become the most dangerous branch of government. Judges are unelected, unaccountable, and serve for life only in theory — the Constitution says they serve “during good behavior,” but that clause has long been ignored.
This is why my New Year’s resolution is to reform this broken system. Freedom Watch USA will be working with Rep. Nancy Mace to draft new legislation that strips judges of absolute immunity and holds them accountable when they act intentionally and corruptly. Qualified immunity is one thing — but when a judge knowingly violates the law, manipulates justice, or rules based on political bias, there must be consequences.
The current House Judiciary Committee under Rep. Jim Jordan has done nothing to address this crisis. He prefers TV appearances and fundraising over action. Not one corrupt judge has been subpoenaed or impeached. Roberts even had the audacity to claim judges cannot be removed for bad decisions — a blatant lie. Judges can and must be removed for misconduct and repeated abuse of authority.
This systemic rot is destroying public trust. If Americans cannot find justice in court, civil unrest will follow — because when peaceful redress is denied, frustration boils over. The Left knows this and exploits it. They use lawfare and biased courts to silence conservatives, jail political opponents, and suppress freedom of speech and religion.
