Shapiro At ‘Newsweek’: Which Liar Should You Believe? Daily Wire August 18, 2018 Who do you believe when everyone is a proven liar? By Larry Klayman WND August 17, 2018 There has been a feeding frenzy in the media this week about President Donald Trump’s order removing the national security clearance of former Obama director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John Brennan, as well as his announced review to consider removing the national security clearances of others related to the Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele dossier and related Clinton-Democrat scandals. On the left, the phony and dishonest chorus was that Trump’s action and threatened further actions on security clearances were designed to chill free speech and a threat to the Constitution,…

Opinion | The extraordinary bias of the judge in the Manafort trial By Nancy Gertner Washington Post August 17, 2018 It is not unusual for judges to intervene in court proceedings from time to time — to direct the lawyers to move the case along or to admonish them that evidence is repetitive. The judge’s role is to act not as a “mere moderator,” as the Supreme Court noted in Herron v. Southern Pacific in 1931, but as the “governor of the trial” responsible for assuring the proper conduct of all participants. The performance of U.S. District Court…
Trump can disparage Jeff Sessions all he likes, but he’s in trouble if the AG quits now Washington Examiner August 15, 2018 Ordinarily, it would be big news if a president denounced one of his own appointees in public. But with President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions, this has been the normal order of things for months. The disagreement between the two men began when Sessions, immediately upon taking office, announced that he was recusing himself from the nascent investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. His reason was that he had himself been part of…
