By Larry Klayman WND August 31, 2018 It’s hard to believe, particularly by someone like me who at one time believed as a starry-eyed young federal prosecutor that joining the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) was the highest honor and calling for a lawyer. But over the years, even after I left to go back into private practice, first forming my own law firm and then conceiving of and founding Judicial Watch and later Freedom Watch, I have come to see my once proud alma mater as a despicable den of corruption. And, do not believe that DOJ has…
By Bob Unruh WND August 30, 2018 Activist and Freedom Watch founder Larry Klayman is suing Google, Facebook, Twitter and Apple in federal court in Washington on behalf of “hundreds” of members of a class of “politically conservative organizations.” The class-action complaint filed Wednesday focuses on the documented reports of bias and censorship against the tech industry. “Common questions of fact and law exist as to all class members, including, but not limited to, whether defendants are engaging in illegal suppression and censorship of political conservative content,” the complaint states. By Jeffrey Rodack Newsmax August 30, 2018 Freedom Watch, a government watchdog, has filed a class action lawsuit against Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Apple alleging antitrust violations and claiming the companies stifle the voice of conservatives. The lawsuit was announced by the group’s founder, Larry Klayman. In a statement, Freedom Watch claimed the companies conspired by “entering into an explicit or tacit agreement, in parallel to each other to restrain trade.” “Specifically, the class action complaint alleges that the intent and effect of this agreement in restraint of trade is to quash and/or limit advocacy by conservative and pro-(Donald)…
Trump Presses Supreme Court Chief Justice For Action On Russia Dossier Reuters August 30, 2018 WASHINGTON, Aug 29 (Reuters) – President Donald Trump said on Wednesday the U.S. Supreme Court chief justice should tell the head of a national security court to question FBI and Justice Department officials about their use of a so-called Russia dossier as part of a collusion probe. Trump singled out Justice Department official Bruce Ohr in a message on Twitter apparently quoting a Fox News analyst. Ohr is linked to the dossier of allegations of possible collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia. Continue…
By RJ Vogt Law 360 Law360 (August 29, 2018, 10:41 PM EDT) — After President Donald Trump raged on Twitter about “fake news media” dominating web search results, a conservative nonprofit sued tech giants Facebook, Google, Twitter and Apple for $1 billion in Washington, D.C., federal court Wednesday, alleging they violated antitrust statutes and the First Amendment by censoring conservative content. The proposed class action suit by Freedom Watch Inc. claims all four defendants entered into an “illegal agreement to refuse to deal with conservative news and media outlets” that is “plainly anti-competitive.” In addition, Freedom Watch alleged that…
Analysis | Trump firing Jeff Sessions looks more likely than ever. Here’s the storm that awaits. By Aaron Blake Washington Post August 29, 2018 President Trump likes to talk about firing people. And apparently he’s been doing it again with Jeff Sessions. Although that could be dismissed as Trump flying off the handle again, context is important. The context here is that Senate Republicans appear to be warming to the idea. Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) once said there would be “holy hell” to pay if Trump fired his attorney general; now he says Trump is entitled to…

CNN’s Don Lemon Offers a Rational Defense of Antifa By Katherine Krueger Splinter August 29, 2018 Extremely hit-or-miss CNN anchor Don Lemon offered an absolutely reasonable, moderate defense of the loose collective of anti-fascism activists known as Antifa on Tuesday night, so, predictably, people are well on their way to making this a Big Bad Thing. “It says it right in the name: Antifa. Anti-fascism, which is what they were there fighting,” Lemon said on his show, referring to the activists who counter-protested the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville a year ago. Fox News denounces DeSantis’s ‘monkey’ remark on Dem rival By Aris Folley TheHill August 29, 2018 Fox News host Sandra Smith said Wednesday that the network did not condone Rep. Ron DeSantis’s (R) language when he warned voters not to “monkey this up” by voting for his Democratic gubernatorial opponent Andrew Gillum. DeSantis’s remark about Gillum, who would be Florida’s first black governor if elected, prompted quick backlash, with the state Democratic Party chair saying he was “launching his general election campaign with racist dog whistles.” Continue Reading…..
