On July 29, 1994, I founded Judicial Watch to hold judges accountable — to literally “watch the judiciary.” I did so because even then I saw corruption festering in the federal courts. Over thirty years later, the problem is far worse. Judges have become unelected despots who rule over the people instead of serving them.
Just this week, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit — one of the laziest and most politicized courts in the country — upheld a corrupt ruling by federal Judge Donald Middlebrooks, a Clinton appointee. Middlebrooks had previously dismissed President Trump’s RICO lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and other architects of the Russian collusion hoax. He then went a step further: he ordered Trump and his attorneys to pay over $1 million in so-called “legal fees” to the defendants.
This ruling is an outrage — a political hit job cloaked in judicial robes. It’s part of the same swamp network that rewards corruption and punishes anyone who stands for truth. Even more disturbing, the opinion affirming Middlebrooks’ decision was written by a so-called Trump appointee, Judge Pryor, whose name was pushed to the White House by the Federalist Society — another establishment gatekeeper profiting from political appointments.
This is the disease infecting our legal system. Judges on the bench are often bought and paid for through political patronage, backroom deals, and big money. They hide behind “lifetime tenure” and claim absolute immunity for their misconduct. But as Thomas Jefferson warned, when judges become unaccountable, they become tyrants.
I have personally fought this corruption for decades — against dishonest bar associations, compromised lawyers, and cowardly politicians who enable this rot. The legal profession must be rebuilt from the ground up if we are to save our Republic.
That’s why I founded Freedom Watch — to continue this mission. We will not rest until the judiciary is purged of corruption and restored to serve the people, not the political class.
